Check Our ProductsOur History
1993
Med-Dyne founded by EW Johnson, Jr. in Louisville, KY as Johnson Medical Specialties, Inc., specializing in the wholesale of air filtration devices. Acquired Terra-Con, Inc. of Vermont, which was relocated to Louisville.
1995
Premier Medical Products began manufacturing its own filters for oxygen concentrators. Acquired TransAmerica TENS, from Connecticut, which specialized in Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) units and accessories. Operations were moved to Louisville.
1996-1999
The company’s name was changed to Med-Dyne. Med-Dyne began manufacturing filters for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines. Med-Dyne began producing infant apnea, ECG and sleep monitoring accessories. During the next ten years, Med-Dyne continued developing and marketing Bio-Feedback accessories and devices.
2006
Med-Dyne relocated to a state of the art facility near the University of Louisville’s main campus, which still currently houses the manufacturing site, offices, and warehouse. Also in 2006, Med-Dyne became an FDA approved manufacturer of pediatric electrodes and patient cables. These Class III medical devices each carry their own 510(k) appointed number — the most recent were approved in June, 2008.
2015
Med-Dyne acquired Jenson Medical International, TechTron and Physio-Tech, all medical supply wholesale operations which were moved to Louisville. The acquisitions of these companies allowed Med-Dyne to achieve steady growth over the years, while maintaining and improving product quality and value, and delivering excellent customer service.
2016
Med-Dyne sold the air filtration division in early 2016 and no longer manufactures concentrator or CPAP filters. This allows Med-Dyne to focus entirely on manufacturing bio-feedback and monitoring accessories for newborns and infants. In late 2016, Med-Dyne purchased the equipment necessary to manufacture patented infant monitoring accessories for international distribution.
2020
In 2020, Med-Dyne worked through the Covid pandemic to continue creating our much-needed monitoring accessories.
